In a particularly regulated market, every day Siem Supranite increasingly establishes itself as a reference. The group works primarily for large groups in fields such as refining, fine chemistry and petrochemistry, as well as in the particularly sensitive nuclear sector, in which the company has more than 30 years of experience.

The product range offered by Siem primarily includes joints for bridles and devices (made of elastomeric fibre, graphite, PTFE, metal...) and bindings for valves, pumps and other rotating machinery, highly technical products that are used, for example, during major Turnarounds.

Based in Houston, Texas and in Manchester, England, Flexitallic is developing renowned know-how and it has a significant roster of customers for its industrial sealing solutions intended for refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants in the American and British markets, but also South America, the Middle East... In all, Flexitallic has a total worldwide sales force of more than 750 partners and distributors in some 46 countries.

2008 activity
A particularly active fiscal year 2008 for the group. The two now related companies will be able to further their synergies and maintain their mutual growth.

Prospects
The major benefit of the acquisition of Flexitallic is that it will allow both groups to deploy their commercial offer as well as possible, notably in geographical terms, for the international follow-up of their existing customers. Siem Supranite will be able to more easily work with its customers that are in zones where the company previously had only a slight presence. By associating their product ranges and sales forces, the two companies will also be able to more easily open the doors to the very promising but difficult Asian market.
